Specific Call for Projects

Africa–France Academic Partnerships – 3rd Edition (PeA3) – 2025

The French National Research Agency (ANR) has launched the call for proposals for the 3rd edition of the “Africa–France Academic Partnerships” program (formerly known as “Partnerships with African Higher Education”). The PeA program is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) through the French Development Agency (AFD). It is implemented with support from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), ANR, and Campus France for coordination and facilitation.

The program aims to support, over a period of 4.5 years, projects led by French and African higher education and research institutions engaged in strategic partnerships. The objective is to strengthen and implement training programs in higher education within African countries in targeted sectors that contribute to the socio-economic development of the country or region.

As a cross-cutting priority, the program encourages projects that promote access, participation, and retention of women in the selected fields.

This new edition is open to the following African countries: South Africa, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Rwanda, and Togo. The call for proposals outlines all eligibility criteria.

Project submission deadline: May 6, 2025
