« Residential Research Schools »
Opening date expected on noa.cnrs.fr by November 25, 2024
Closing date: January 14, 2025
Results and funding notifications: April–May 2025
Following the great success of the Joint Research Program in Africa, and in line with CNRS’s multi-year cooperation plan with Africa, CNRS is expected to relaunch two campaigns to continue strengthening scientific collaboration with the continent.
The first call concerns Residential Research Schools. It aims to support the organization of residential research schools within partner institutions in Africa, with the goal of facilitating knowledge transfer. These schools combine basic theoretical courses with advanced research results and training in tools and methodologies.
The second call concerns Visiting Fellowships. It aims to foster collaboration between two early-career researchers — one from a CNRS laboratory and the other from an African academic institution. A fellowship of 8 to 12 weeks will be awarded to the pair, including a mandatory residential stay in the French researcher’s laboratory.
The call is expected to officially open before the end of 2024.
